Beginner Eletric Guitar by Marty Music

Sobre este curso

Picking up an electric guitar for the first time is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming: knobs, pickups, tunings, riffs that sound impossible, and fingers that do not cooperate yet. This beginner-friendly course is designed to turn that confusion into momentum, helping you build the core skills that make electric guitar fun to play. You will start with the absolute essentials, learning how to approach your very first lesson with confidence and good habits that save time later.

Instead of guessing how your sound works, you will understand the role of pickups and how they shape your tone, so your guitar starts to feel like an instrument you can control rather than a machine you hope behaves. From there, you will develop the rhythm foundation of modern rock and metal by working with power chords, including approachable one-finger shapes that get you playing quickly while still training accuracy, timing, and clean transitions. As your hands become stronger and more coordinated, you will expand into open chords for a broader palette of sounds and more musical options.

You will also explore fingerpicking on electric guitar, learning how to make individual notes ring clearly and how to coordinate your picking hand and fretting hand without tension. This combination of strumming, picking, and chord work builds versatile musicianship and prepares you for the kinds of parts you actually hear in songs.

To keep motivation high, the course connects technique to real music with step-by-step lessons built around iconic tracks and energetic riffs. You will practice rhythm precision, palm-muted patterns, and tight picking that define heavy styles, while also getting comfortable with alternate tunings commonly used by rock and metal players. By the end, you will have a practical set of skills you can use to learn new songs faster, play along with confidence, and continue improving with a clear direction. It is a free online course that supports steady progress, whether you are learning for fun, joining a band, or aiming to earn a certificate.
