Japanese for Beginners: JLPT N5 Complete Course by LiLis Language Class

Sobre este curso

Start learning Japanese with a clear path from absolute beginner to JLPT N5-ready. This free online course is designed to help you understand how Japanese actually works, so you can read simple sentences, build natural basic conversations, and recognize the grammar patterns that appear again and again in daily life and on the N5 exam.

Instead of memorizing random phrases, you will develop a solid foundation: how to introduce yourself, ask and answer common questions, and communicate politely in typical situations such as ordering, making requests, and describing what is happening right now. Along the way, you will gain confidence with essential verb forms, including the polite ??-form, the versatile ?-form, and structures used to talk about actions in progress. You will also learn how Japanese points to people and things with demonstratives, how to express preference and comparisons, and how to add nuance when explaining a situation.

The learning experience balances guided video lessons with quick checks that keep you engaged. The exercises reinforce key ideas right after you learn them, so grammar is not just theory; it becomes a usable skill. You will practice common verbs, sentence building, and patterns you can immediately apply to anime, travel, study plans, or future work opportunities involving Japanese.

By the end, you will be able to handle beginner-level grammar with much less guesswork, understand the intent behind familiar expressions, and feel prepared to take the next step in Japanese learning. Whether your goal is JLPT N5, everyday communication, or building a language habit you can stick with, this course gives you structure, momentum, and practical results.
