Magic Course #39: BEST DOUBLE LIFT(SUPER CONVINCING!!)
Sobre este curso
hey what’s up guys welcome back to my channel so what I decided is that I’m going to make a playlist for you guys it’s going to be like a magic course that gradually increases in difficulty
level over time it’s going to be for beginners who are interested in learning magic so for my very first video in this playlist I’m going to teach you about the grip here I’m using the arcane deck
from the illusionist the black black arcane deck it’s a beautiful deck of cards the design is fantastic I’ll do a deck review later let’s get the chokers and the ad cards
out and it comes with a double backer which is fantastic in doing magic so let’s talk about the grip what I’m holding this is called a mechanic’s grip it’s the most important grip in magic
David Blaine does Justin Flom hold it like this any magicians you name the Dynamo or anyone will hold it like this in the beginning right so what this allows you to do is do double lifts like
that right or you can do a pinkie break on one card or pinky break on many cards like that or you can do a pinkie break under one card by buckling a card like so or you can refill down by the side or
you can pinkie count from the top like this there are so many applications and this is great because it’s called it’s because it allows you to do so many things if you’re a righty you would hold
it on your left hand like so and this is called your mechanic’s grip what you want to have is hold a deck like this with a thumb on the side the flush fleshy part of the thumb right here
should be on the side like this your index finger should be on the edge on the top and the other three fingers are just resting by the side and you don’t want to hold the deck in a
death grip like this and it’ll bend the cards and it’s not that good you won’t hold it like so it’s a gentle grip it’s not a death grip or a really loose grip where cards will start falling out like
that you just want to gently hold it like this okay and if you look at from the bottom right here there is going to be a debt gap right here at the start what people tend to do is hold it so
hard that it kinds of kind of bend the cards at the bottom that’s not really good I used to do that but I fixed it by holding it properly hold it gently but don’t hold it too tight that’s my tip
for you so again you have a thumb along the edge on the left side three fingers right here you have the index finger at the top just resting and it’s not a death grip and this is called the
mechanic’s grip I hope you enjoyed my video make sure to subscribe and like the video and I’ll see you in the next video thanks
