Using Drones to create content by Wex Photo Video

Sobre este curso

Take your storytelling to new heights by learning how drones can transform the way you create visual content. This free online course is designed for hobbyists, filmmakers, and creators who want to produce cinematic aerial footage that feels intentional, polished, and professional. Instead of relying on luck and autopilot, you will build a practical mindset for planning shots, controlling motion, and shaping the look of your scenes so your videos and photos have impact.

Through a guided masterclass experience, you will explore how creators use drones to add scale, emotion, and perspective to their work, whether the goal is a dramatic establishing shot, a smooth tracking movement, or a sequence that supports a narrative. Along the way, you will sharpen your eye for composition and timing, and learn how preparation can unlock better results than simply flying higher. You will also learn to make smarter decisions in the field, including how light direction affects mood, texture, and visibility, and how to anticipate the best moment to capture a location.

This course emphasizes the small technical choices that make a big visual difference. You will understand why tools like ND filters matter for natural motion and controlled exposure, and how a few adjustments can elevate footage from harsh and jittery to cinematic and controlled. Safety and responsible flying are treated as part of the creative process: pre-flight checks, awareness of conditions, and careful planning help protect your equipment while giving you the confidence to focus on getting the shot.

By the end, you will have a clearer workflow for planning and capturing aerial content, plus the confidence to use helpful apps for visualizing sun direction so your shoot decisions are faster and more accurate. If you are aiming to enhance your filmmaking hobby, expand your content creation skills, or build a stronger reel for future opportunities, this course is a solid step toward producing aerial visuals that truly stand out.
