Learn to fool Penn and Teller!

hey what’s up guys today I’m going to teach a trick that fooled Penn & Teller do you want me to alright so this trick actually was performed by Graham Jolie and he actually fooled Penn & Teller so

this is how the trick goes he asked the first spectator to cut the deck into 1/3 and they cut into 1/3 and that’s what the card they got the Jack of Clubs and he asks the second spectator to cut the

deck into half of the remaining and he cut in to the ace of clubs so that was the Jack of Clubs and the Ace of Hearts I mean ace of clubs like that so these are the cards they chose so the magician

took all the cards in like that and said maybe I need help finding the cards maybe I will ask Joker’s which are conveniently facing up right there and there and I hope maybe they can tell

something and then he took the cards like this and then he looked at the Joker’s and said hey this joker is whispering me something right now umm he’s telling me 18 he’s whispering into

me 18 cards so he caught in two he started to number God count cards to 18 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 18 which was the Jack of Clubs and that was the spectator one card and then he

looked at the second Joker and he starts to listen to him and then the second Joker told him 43 and then he so that was 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 1 2 43 which was

ace of clubs second second spectators card so that was a trick and this actually fold Penn & Teller and let’s get to tutorial okay so this is a tutorial for a trick that

fooled Penn & Teller it’s a mathematical trick and it’s quite easy you only need to have two gimmick cards but you have to make sure you have a deck of cards that has exactly 52 cards your student

you if you’re missing any cards or if you have any duplicates then you cannot perform this trick so to perform it you need 52 cards plus two two jokers then you get in a deck when you buy them on

one joker it’s going to say 43 on the other on the other joker it’s going to say 18 and these are going to be the markers okay so what this is a setup it only works because it’s a

mathematical trick it only works if you have 52 cards in your deck so you’re going to count off nine cards one two three four five six seven eight nine and then place the bigger number of the two

which is a forty three faced up like that okay and then you’re going to count off 18 cards 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 and you’re going to place the second number facing up like

this and you’re going to collect them in a deck so basically the two jokers should be at the 10th position 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 and that should be the higher number which is a forty three and the

other joker should be at 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 throws a ssin facing up and it should be the salt smaller number 18 okay so that’s the setup like this and you’re

going to walk up to a spectator like that’s the setup you do before you perform and then when you’re performing you’re going to ask spectator to cut the deck into 1/3 and

in this case let’s say the spectator cut to a three of diamonds okay so and then they’re going to place it on the table their card was three of diamonds and then the spectator to cuts into a card

and you are going to tell them to cut cut roughly halfway and in this case the ten of spades all right the ten of spades whatever and I got something called a finger whatever so

anyways so this one was three of diamonds spectator one this one was spectator to the ten of spades and this is the leftover what you’re going to do is you’re going to collect in a specific

manner you’re going to put the remaining cards in the center take spectator ones pile and place it on the top like so and take spectator to pile and place it on the top like so and then what you’re

going to do is you’re going to say I don’t know where your cards are or how I will find them there’s no break or whatsoever but then if I spread the cards out maybe these two jokers that

are conveniently facing up maybe they can help me find the cards and then while you’re saying that you’re going to separate the piles like this the Joker’s are going to help you separate the cards

and then the first Joker on the right is your go and then oh wait before you do that you have to collect the cards again the middle pile goes very bottom you take the left pile over a spectator or

yeah the left pile this time first then the right pile like that and that’s basically the whole trick there’s no slights involved except gimmicks and then you’re going to say this joker is

whispering me a number and it’s I’m hearing 18 but then you already know that it’s 18 right it’s just going to say 18 on the bat just in case you forget like you don’t have to say 18

maybe you can say the Joker says 18 or something like that okay and you’re going to start counting off 18 cards 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 and this

should be three of diamonds right there 18th card and then you’re going to count off up to 43 so 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 40 41 42 and this should be the ten of Spades

like that so that’s basically the whole trick and if you want if you didn’t have to flick um look at the cards while the performance you can say you know how I knew that

it’s because a joker at the back actually says 18 and 43 and they help me find the cards so that’s basically the whole tutorial it’s very very simple but just in case it’s the setup is confusing

so let’s go over it one last time really quick 9 you’re going to caso you need a deck of 52 cards and two jokers that says 18 on the back and 43 on the back and you’re going to count off nine cards

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and a joker with a bigger number it’s going to be facing up at the bottom of this and you’re going to count off 18 more cards 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 that’s 18 place

the second Joker facing up on the deck and the whole thing here the first Joker the whole thing here so the placement should be 8 8 no 8 random cards I mean nine random cards on the tenth card it

should be the Joker that says 43 and then another 18 random cards and then on the 29th position it should be the Joker saying 18 okay and then you’re going to ask them to cut the deck in 3 or pick

two cards by cutting them that’s first car 10 of spades again and 6 of diamonds and place it like the remaining pile in the middle you’re going to take spectator with ones card place it on the

top spectators to up I’ll place it on the top again and then you’re going to spread out the cards which which has the Joker’s facing up you’re going to separate the Joker’s

separate the deck by the Joker’s and this time you’re going to take the left pile first and then take the right pile like so which means you’re going to have two Joker’s like this and then say hey

this Joker’s whispering to me eighteen one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen seventeen eighteen and which in this

case was ten of spades and the other card should be the six of diamonds and I have to count all the way to forty three one two three four five wait that was 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31

32 33 34 5 6 7 8 9 10 41 42 43 which is a six of diamonds and basically that is the whole trick guys it’s an easy trick without any difficult gimmicks to make and what I was going to say is that you

don’t need any slides like you can just if you know how to count cards you’re good to go and I’m so surprised at this old Penn & Teller but anyways this is the tutorial guys I hope you liked it
