Single Drag Tap – Drum Rudiment Lesson (Drumeo)
the single drag tap this rudiment consists of a drag as well as a accented single now there are two ways you could play this rudiment one in a triplet form
and one in a more straight ahead eighth note form let me show you the triplet form first now with the triplet form we're going to be playing eighth note triplets and
we're going to play an accent for your first stroke then you're going to play a double or a little drag with your left hand and then you're going to tap with your right hand just like that
so in total you'll get the single drag tap and then you repeat it with your left hand single drag tap single drag tap okay that's one way of playing it the other way is in an eighth note form
now for the eighth no version we're going to start with our drag and we're going to play it with our left hand then we're going to tap with our right hand so get drag tap and then we're going to
play our single with our left hand something like this one and two and then you play the same thing with your right hand lead or your opposite hand so it looks like this make sure you practice
both those methods let's do it together at 60 beats per minute if you want to explore this rudiment even further come and check us out at Romeo calm

The single drag tap expands on the drag ruff with one added tap stroke (just as the title indicates). This drum rudiment is perfect for creative drum fills, unique solo patterns, or for just improving the timing and control of your drag ruffs.
