Chikalicious Dessert Bar
203 E. 10th Street between 1st and 2nd
Chikalicious Dessert Club
204 E. 10th Street between 1st and 2nd
For all the sweets lovers out there, the Nihon NY crew went on a pilgrimage to heaven on earth, Eden in NYC, the sweets lovers’ dreamland that leaves them in a state of absolute bliss… This place I’m talking about? … Wait for it… (insert drumroll here.) CHIKALICIOUS!
Located in the hip East Village, full of popular dessert places, Chikalicious raises the bar for all other competition with their fine dining concept involving a three course prix fixe menu. Established in 2003, Chikalicious Dessert Bar features playful and innovative individual desserts, made from fresh ingredients. The desserts are an amalgam of American style sweets, made by a chef from a French culinary background, with splashes of Japanese taste here and there. It sounds like an eclectic and surprising combination, but the desserts are out of this world.
The intimate setting built around an open kitchen allows customers to interact directly with the chefs and sommelier while their desserts are prepared in front of their eyes. Chikalicious is a foodie’s dream-come-true: it is a place where one can enjoy fabulous desserts while watching their preparation and plating.
The crew all went home feeling full, wholesome and happy. If watching this video is making your mouth water, you should consider a trip to the east village. You will not regret this. And a heads up to people who have been there already: their menu changes daily, so there is no way anyone can pull a “I’ve been there” or “tried that already.”
So please check it out! Itadakimasu!
